Prospect Farm Cottages in Allerston provided us with a lovely accommodation. We were warmly welcomed by Lynne, who was very accommodating to us and our dog. We had access to a paddock at the top end of the property, offering stunning countryside views. the location was perfect, close to the picturesque village of Thornton le Dale and not too far from Pickering, making it an ideal base to explore this part of Yorkshire. the cottages themselves were quaint and well-stocked, providing everything we needed for a comfortable stay. the views from the cottage were amazing, and we found it to be a wonderful place to relax and recharge. Martyn was also fantastic, adding to our enjoyable stay. We would highly recommend Prospect Farm Cottages and look forward to returning in the future.

The rental location was in a quiet countryside setting, providing a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. the designated parking area with outdoor garden seating allowed me to enjoy the wonderful views across the countryside.

The sleeping area was on a mezzanine level with a narrow staircase, making it difficult for taller individuals due to limited headroom. the cleanliness of the cottage was subpar, with cobwebs, stale bread, and crumbs left around.

Prospect Farm Cottages is a hidden gem nestled in a beautiful and peaceful area with a stunning view of the Pickering Vale. The Saltersgate house, where I stayed, was spacious and inviting, making me feel right at home. The hospitality provided by Martyn and his family was exceptional, as they went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. The well-equipped rooms and the added touch of complimentary tea, coffee, sugar, and milk made our stay even more enjoyable.

The internet connection could use some improvement.

We had a fantastic Easter getaway! The cottages were spacious, clean, and had a relaxed vibe. The owner was friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The location was perfect, with easy access to the beautiful moors, the stunning coast, and historic sites. Plus, the cottages had excellent Wi-Fi and easy parking. And let's not forget the incredible value for money!

shower needed maintenance

The cottage location was ideal for exploring nearby towns and attractions. We were able to easily visit Scarborough, Whitby, and Pickering, thanks to its central location. Plus, the cottage itself was well-equipped with everything we needed - a fully stocked kitchen and luxurious bedding. the cherry on top was the beautiful little garden with benches where we could unwind in the evenings.

Although the cottage was cozy and comfortable, there were a couple of drawbacks. the bathroom window lacked privacy glass, which made it difficult to let in natural light without sacrificing privacy.

We even received a lovely welcome snack upon arrival. the cleanliness, facilities, location, and staff made our stay enjoyable and memorable.

The front door at the cottage we stayed in was a bit difficult to lock and unlock as it kept sticking at the bottom. Additionally, the bathroom door also had a sticking issue.
