This hotel is great value for money, with well-appointed rooms and a fantastic location right in the centre of town. There's plenty of parking available, with a large free car park to the rear of the hotel. The staff are friendly and attentive, and the basic amenities like the comfortable bed, walk-in shower and breakfast included are all top-notch.

All in all, this hotel was perfectly fine and we had a good stay.

Close to Portsmouth ferry port and in town centre near to bus station. Easy on-site parking. Friendly and efficient staff.

I really got great value for my money at the Red Lion Hotel. The room was clean, well-equipped, and the bed was surprisingly comfy. Plus, the hotel's location was excellent, close to shops and a peaceful creek. The staff were friendly, especially with our kids, and the spacious room allowed us to move around comfortably.

The bathroom in the room was in dire need of a refurbishment. the shower curtains were unclean and the shower itself was not adjustable to our preference.

Stayed here before taking a ferry to France. Great location, ample parking. Fabulous breakfast - fresh cooked to order. Lovely staff, especially the assistant manager in the bar who was incredibly accommodating to a severe food allergy. Comfortable room, although slightly faded. Nice atmosphere in the restaurant. Will definitely return.

The value for money at Red Lion Hotel By Greene King Inns was great, paid only £55 for a single room. The staff was very nice and accommodating, making our stay pleasant. The location of the hotel was convenient for exploring nearby areas like Gosport and Portsmouth.
