We recently stayed at a hotel in a picturesque location for a conference in Newbury. The staff at this hotel were exceptionally friendly and polite. During the evening meal, they promptly brought us drinks and bread and butter. They even went above and beyond to quickly bring a salad for my colleague who had forgotten to order a side dish. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Menu varied, excellent service. Lounge area could use new carpet. Plentiful parking. Self-service breakfast with hot plates. Simple check-in and check-out. Huge room with seating area, unexpected and great for socializing. Communal spaces welcoming. Big bed, great power shower. Damian and staff were fantastic. Tasty evening meals with good portions and veg. Afternoon tea was okay. Good parking. Inviting pool. Lots of breakfast choices. Enjoyed our stay.

The breakfast is delicious and satisfying, with a variety of options to choose from.

The temporary lift breakdown was not handled well by the reception staff.
