our recent stay in black notley was wonderful, but our stay at ross house exceeded all expectations. everything we needed was in the room, and the location was perfect. a special shoutout to the helpful and friendly host, isabelle. highly recommended!

Bed a tad too firm.

I couldn't have asked for better value for my money at Ross House. The room was spotlessly clean and had all the amenities I needed, including a fancy coffee pod maker. The location was peaceful and easy to find, with ample parking. Isobel, the owner, was a delightful host and made me feel right at home.

The breakfast experience could have been improved by offering a morning meal option.

The facilities were top-notch, with two types of showers, a variety of organic teas and coffee, and even a Tassimo coffee maker. The attention to detail was evident, from the treats in the fridge to the crisp and luxurious towels neatly rolled in fancy shapes. The cleanliness of the place was spotless, and the curtains and fittings were of top-notch quality. this experience ranked among the best accommodations we have ever stayed in, surpassing even more expensive options.

During our Christmas stay, we were impressed by the cleanliness of the rooms and the amazing shower they had. the hosts were very friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. the key location of the hotel made it easy for us to find and provided ample parking space.

One aspect we didn't particularly enjoy was the lack of shelves or hooks in the shower for our toiletries. It would have been more convenient to have a designated place to keep our items.

I had a fantastic stay at a charming place in Black Notley. Everything was perfect, from the cleanliness of the property to the friendly and welcoming staff. The room itself was beautiful and cosy, with a very comfy bed that made me feel like I was sleeping on a cloud. The attention to detail was outstanding, with plenty of windows to provide natural light and beautiful views of the fabulous garden. The hotel also provided a pack with information on local places of interest, including the UK's oldest pub, The Castle, which is mentioned in the doomsday book of 1086. Additionally, there were menus of local takeaways, all neatly organized. Staying here felt like staying with a very good friend.

The room was comfortable, quiet, and very clean. The bathroom next to our room was large and for our use only. The owner was lovely and towels, tea/coffee/biscuits were provided. The room had a fridge and fresh milk. The hotel is in a residential area on a lovely quiet avenue.
