This hotel is a gem! The attention given to details and the thrifty prices make it a remarkable value for money. It’s located in a historical area of the town and the staff is amazing. The hotel offers basic amenities, with very good facilities, the rooms with baths are exceptional. Moreover, the breakfast that’s included in the rate is superb, with good quality food freshly cooked, plus add-ons are available.

No negative aspect to mention – everything was impeccable.

Great location, just a short walk from major attractions. the room was spacious and comfortable, with a large bed and a superb bathroom. the breakfast had plenty of choices and was delicious. the staff were all very helpful and pleasant, providing excellent service. the hotel also offered secure parking in a nearby multi-storey, which was convenient. a positive experience with great amenities and a prime location.

Some areas of the hotel looked tired and in need of an upgrade, particularly the public areas. the decor didn't match the online pictures and could use some improvements.

had an amazing stay at a quirky hotel filled with naval memorabilia, felt right at home as an ex-navy person. Superb breakfast with fresh fruit and delicious bacon & sausages. Peaceful atmosphere, plenty of books to enjoy. Will definitely return in November.

The hotel's decor and Naval memorabilia were fascinating, adding a unique touch to my stay. The staff were incredibly pleasant, ensuring that I felt welcome throughout my visit. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a modern, well-lit car park right across the street. I also loved the hotel's location, as it was conveniently close to museums, the Naval yard, and Gunwharf Quays for shopping and dining. Additionally, the breakfast buffet offered a good selection, with excellent coffee to start my day.

The room was comfortable and had a great view of the Spinnaker. The shower was excellent and the room was very clean. The breakfast had a wide selection and the staff in the restaurant were friendly and accommodating. The hotel had a unique layout and a quiet library area for relaxing. I had a great experience and would highly recommend it.

The hotel is conveniently located in a prime spot near the harbour, making it a perfect base for exploring the city by foot. The foyer area is well-maintained and inviting, creating a pleasant atmosphere upon arrival. Additionally, the hotel is just a short walk away from the train station and a bustling shopping centre, offering a variety of options for entertainment and shopping.

Some areas of the hotel could benefit from a bit of refurbishment, especially the furnishings in the main reception bar and certain areas that could use some redecoration.

I recently stayed at the Royal Maritime Hotel for a weekend getaway. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable, and the hotel's cleanliness was outstanding. Our well-proportioned room had plenty of desk space and a comfortable bed. The food in both the bar and restaurant was excellent, with efficient and attentive service. The hotel's location was perfect, close to local attractions and transportation options. Additionally, the peaceful 20mph zone made for a calm and relaxed atmosphere.

The location of the hotel was excellent, just a short walk away from Gunwharf and the Dockyard museums. Despite being on a main road, my room at the back was quiet with no traffic noise.
