Oh my gosh, i simply adored the garden area at this cozy place! 😍 such a tranquil spot amid the hustle of the lake district. Sadly, the heating in the rooms was a bit wonky. Great stay overall! .

The room we stayed in had a terrible window that didn't close properly and kept letting in noise from outside. We couldn't get a different room even though we asked. Despite this, the gardens were lovely and the location was great. Overall I'll recommend this hotel.

Enjoyed the cozy fireplace, but I didn't dare bake scones. the continental breakfast was a delight, even though the croissants might break a tooth.

Where was the spa? Oh, right, I forgot, in my dreams.

The database provided an extensive range of amenities, including a convenient kitchenette and an incredible view of the city. the room with a double bed was spacious and comfortable, complete with luxurious bedding and modern decor.

The staff were amazing, going above and beyond to assist me and my father-in-law with mobility issues. The location was perfect, with beautiful grounds and gardens. It was just a short walk to Rydal Water and Grasmere, and a quick drive to Ambleside. The breakfast was delicious and they even catered to my gluten-free dietary needs.

The location of the hotel was absolutely stunning, with beautiful gardens that added to the overall charm. The historic building added a unique touch to our stay, and the staff were friendly and always ready to assist us. We were pleasantly surprised by the delicious breakfast that had a wide range of options, including vegan choices. the rooms were clean and comfortable, providing a relaxing atmosphere.

There were some areas of the hotel that needed updating, such as the carpet and signs of water damage.

The location of the hotel was simply superb, with car parking available right outside. The breakfast provided was wonderful, with a wide variety of options to choose from. The rooms were clean and tidy, with comfortable beds to rest after a long day of exploring. the grounds of the hotel were peaceful and delightful to wander through.

Some guests mentioned that the walls seemed to be paper thin, allowing for noise from neighboring rooms to be heard.

the building itself is stunning, surrounded by exquisite gardens in a peaceful and quiet location. I was fortunate to have a room with fantastic views from the window, and the short walks to Rydal Fall and Rydal Caves were a real treat. the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, ensuring I had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. the room was simple yet clean, and the beds were extremely comfortable.
