Attending a wedding at Cooling Castle Barn, we stayed at The Horseshoe & Castle for one night. The staff were friendly and helpful, and it was a short walk back from the venue. The room was clean and the breakfast was great. Adequate parking and a quiet location. Just need a new mattress, but can't go wrong for one night due to the excellent location.

had a memorable stay in Rochester, but this time Horseshoe & Castle blew us away! The perfect location for our needs, friendly and efficient staff, period-style bar and restaurant, and breakfast served to perfection. We'll definitely be back with friends to enjoy the evening menu and ales.

We had a fantastic stay at a lovely country pub just a walk away from a wedding venue. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was top notch. The rooms were comfortable and had all the necessary amenities. The walk in the Cooling area was made even better by the helpful staff who provided us with a map and instructions. I highly recommend this hotel.

We had a fantastic time staying at this charming pub. The location is perfect, as it is very close to Cooling Castle and the next closest pub. Our room was cozy and clean, with a comfortable bed and tea making facilities. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, even providing us with maps for our walks in the area. The breakfast was delicious and we enjoyed the excellent food in the bar for dinner.

The bathroom not being attached to the bedroom. It was a bit inconvenient to have to go down the corridor during the night.

We had a wonderful stay at this luxurious hotel. The location was perfect for us, as it was close to Cooling Castle where we were attending a wedding. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The room we stayed in was tastefully furnished and very comfortable, providing us with a cozy and relaxing atmosphere.
