I recently stayed at a charming hotel in a convenient location near Gretna Green. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. One thing that really stood out was the attention to detail - they had complimentary tea and biscuits in the room, which was a nice touch. The food at the hotel was also delicious and reasonably priced. Despite a small bathroom, overall I had a pleasant stay at this hotel and would recommend it.

We had a wonderful stay at Solway Lodge. The staff were friendly and welcoming, from reception to the bar staff and waitresses. The food was amazing and our room was spotless. We slept incredibly well and the location was perfect for us. The hotel also offered excellent value for money with its room bar, restaurant, and parking all in one place. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

The double room was comfortable, clean, and spotless en-suite. Extensive menu with excellent food and reasonable wine prices. Full Scottish Breakfast, including Haggis and Tattie scones. Friendly staff and pet-friendly. Upgraded to a gorgeous bridal suite with a luxurious bathroom.

As youngsters, we loved the friendly and jolly reception staff who welcomed us with a warm smile. The room was lovely and comfortable, and the hotel's location near the outlet shopping village was very convenient. The evening meal was delicious, and there was a warm atmosphere throughout our stay.

the stay at the chalet was amazing! the decor and furnishing were beautiful, and the shower was the best i've ever used. the staff was friendly and the meals were top-notch. i will definitely choose this hotel again when i travel down south.

This hotel is great value for money. The prices are reasonable, especially considering the attention to detail and the good facilities they offer. The hotel is conveniently located in the centre of the town, close to all amenities and in a nice area. The staff provide excellent service, they are polite, courteous and helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with good facilities including a bathtub and a double bed. Even with the large window wide open, there were no noise disturbances, which is a nice problem in Scotland. The breakfast provided a wide range of gluten-free options, including toast and coffee, and all made with good quality ingredients.

The location of the hotel is very convenient. It is opposite an outlet in the bar area, making it a great spot for socializing and enjoying a drink. Moreover, it is located down from Knockhill race circuit and within walking distance of local shops. The staff at the hotel are friendly and welcoming. They provide excellent service and ensure that guests are comfortable during their stay. The breakfast served at the hotel is delicious and satisfying. Furthermore, some rooms offer a beautiful view of the Solway Firth, adding to the overall experience.

There were some minor issues with room facilities, such as broken TV remote controls and limited storage space for toiletries in the bathroom. However, these did not significantly impact our overall enjoyment of the stay.

Separate quiet rooms even during a Christmas party. Delicious meal and complimentary drink offered for any inconvenience. Attentive staff despite being busy. Good breakfast. Friendly and comfortable stay. Highly recommended. Would stay again.

Spent my new year at a hotel in the outskirts of a village near the Scottish-English border. the hotel's parking was really good and extremely convenient, and the friendly staff made it even better by greeting us with a warm welcome. the food was home-cooked and tasted delicious, and the atmosphere at the bar was great, due to their kind and talkative attendants. the location was easy to find and had easy access to all the amenities of the village.

My only gripe was that the walls were a bit thin, which meant I could hear my neighbors' whispers. the bathroom was all right, but it could do with a few renovations here and there.
