The breakfast was delicious and filling, and the hotel facilities, including the spacious rooms and ample parking, were top-notch.

For the more relaxed travelers, the hotel is conveniently located near the Menhiot railway station, making it easily accessible. The room I stayed in was beautifully furnished, with a spacious bathroom and comfortable beds. The friendly and attentive staff provided exceptional service, and the breakfast selection was outstanding. I particularly enjoyed the variety of cereal options and the freshly cooked meals. The view from the rear garden/paddock was breathtaking, adding to the overall charm of the hotel.

One small drawback was the limited evening meal options, which could be attributed to the kitchen closing early. Nonetheless, this minor inconvenience did not overshadow the fantastic experience I had at this hotel.

We were pleasantly surprised by our stay at Sportsmans Valley. The hosts were incredibly accommodating, going out of their way to ensure our comfort. The rooms were clean and modern, with a lovely pub atmosphere. The breakfast was excellent and the locals were friendly. The hotel's location was also perfect for exploring the area. Despite a few minor issues, we highly recommend this hidden gem. we had a great experience and would definitely come back.

I had an incredible stay at this hotel! The location is perfect, just off the A38, making it convenient for exploring the surrounding areas like Bodmin, Boscastle, and Tintagel. There's also an extreme sports quarry opposite the hotel, and a large activity park with go-karting, a water park, zip line, and a giant swing just across the road. The room was spacious, modern, and clean, with all the necessary amenities. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, and the friendly staff made me feel welcome throughout my stay.

That there wasn't a snack type bar menu available in the evening.

I had a fantastic stay at a cosy hotel opposite the railway station. The location was perfect, not noisy at all. The room was lovely, with a spacious en-suite bathroom. The service provided by the friendly staff was excellent. The breakfast offered a variety of options and was very affordable. The hotel is also conveniently located near an adrenaline quarry, making it a great base for adventure activities.

That there was no evening dinner available at the hotel. However, there are plenty of nearby restaurants to choose from.

This hotel exceeded all our expectations. the location couldn't have been more convenient - very near the railway station but hardly noticed the passing trains. Secondly, the service provided by Ollie & Steph was exceptional - a truly warm and friendly couple who went out of their way to ensure we had a comfortable stay. Lastly, the rooms were clean and well-appointed, with very nice en-suite bathrooms and a nice view. We also enjoyed a fuss-free, excellent breakfast served in the characterful pub itself.

All was perfect, no improvements needed.

The bathroom is spacious and well-maintained, offering plenty of hot water for a refreshing shower. The staff here are incredibly friendly and have gone above and beyond to make me feel welcome. The breakfast choices are varied and delicious, providing a great start to the day. The view from my room is absolutely breathtaking, overlooking the picturesque countryside. the hotel's close proximity to surrounding areas like Penzance and Liskeard make it an ideal base.

The Wi-Fi connection can be a bit spotty at times.

the room was immaculate; spacious & comfortable with excellent tea & coffee facilities. the full breakfast was a bargain; excellent selection, cooked to perfection. the pub had a great atmosphere, friendly staff, and a lovely parrot named Dylan. exceeded expectations, will always look here first when visiting Liskeard.
