Susan & Glen were excellent hosts, very helpful and informative about the local area and restaurants. The breakfast was excellent and really set you up for the day. Nothing was too much trouble. Perfect for friends who are going out at nights.

temperamental shower

The location of the guest house was ideal, as it was near the center of Bowness. We enjoyed a short and pleasant walk through a picturesque area to reach the town. Additionally, the guest house was very close to the ferry, allowing easy access to explore the surrounding lakes. The room we stayed in was beautifully decorated and had all the necessary amenities, including a well-stocked tea tray. The hosts provided exceptional service, offering helpful recommendations and even providing ponchos on a rainy day. The breakfast served at the guest house was delicious and made with high-quality local produce.

The bathroom in our room had a small shower, making it slightly difficult to maneuver.

From the minute we arrived at Storrs Gate House, we felt warmly welcomed by Shirley and her staff. The four poster bed in our room was incredibly comfortable and cozy. The hotel's location is perfect, just a short drive or walk to the town center of Bowness. Shirley went above and beyond, upgrading us to a larger room free of charge. The cleanliness of the room was exceptional and we had everything we needed, including plenty of tea, toiletries, and towels. The breakfast choices were amazing and the service was top notch. This place truly exceeded our expectations and we couldn't recommend it enough.

We had a luxurious stay at this hotel, with exclusive amenities that fulfilled our needs. the Sun terrace and Garden area were perfect spots to relax and take in the beautiful surroundings. Our room was spacious and filled with exclusive features, making it an unforgettable experience. Breakfast was exceptional and provided a variety of Special diet menus.

The location was a bit out of town, which made it a little inconvenient to walk in. the hotel provided private parking, which made up for this minor issue.
