Had a fantastic welcome from the host, despite my muddy boots! the decor was lavish, and there was a cozy sitting room. My room overlooked a charming garden, complete with friendly chickens. the bed and towels were luxuriously soft, and the breakfast was a delight with fresh eggs gathered from the chickens in the garden.

Pro: We had an amazing stay at Swallows Rest. From the warm welcome to the attention to detail, everything was perfect. the homemade shortbread on the welcome tray was a lovely touch. the surroundings were beautiful, both inside and outside. the peaceful and homely feel made us feel right at home. We enjoyed seeing the ducks, chickens, geese, horses, lamas, and pigs on the property. the breakfast was outstanding, with freshly laid eggs and a variety of delicious homemade cereals and jams. We also appreciated the tidying of our room and the daily replenishment of coffee, tea, and homemade cakes. It truly was a lovely place to stay with amazing walks nearby.

We booked this as a last minute break for 2 nights. The location is lovely set in extensive gardens overlooking fields and the sea. Right on the coastal path for Chesil Beach, perfect for walking. The owners are friendly and happy to answer any questions/give recommendations. The accommodation is comfortable with extra touches like cakes and chocolate left in your room each day. The complimentary water and wide range of tea/coffee/chocolate drinks provided are also great. Breakfast is fab with a nice selection of fruit, yoghurts, and must-try cooked breakfasts. Watching the chickens, ducks, and pheasants wandering around during breakfast is a lovely bonus. Definitely recommend.

We really got our money's worth at this lovely hotel. The room was perfect, with amazing views of the garden, Fleet, Chesil Beach, and Portland. The owners, Jane and Keith, were so friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The garden was a delight, filled with bantams, geese, chickens, and pheasants.

The property had a beautiful open plan kitchen, lounge and dining area, perfect for socializing. Dorset offered magnificent gardens, historic houses, and spectacular coastal scenery. The Penthouse had stunning views of the gardens, lake, and hot tub.

Couldn't find a single fault. oh wait, maybe the unicorns in the garden could have been more friendly.
