Spent a fab xmas break at a hotel in Cumbria. the rooms were immaculate with crisp linens and flat screen TV. the breakfast was varied and delicious with fresh fruit juice and quality ingredients. the location was perfect, close to the town centre and quiet at night. Loved the hospitality tray with a great selection of teas and coffees. the staff were very friendly and helpful with recommendations for local walks.

The rooms were quite small, which might bother some people, and the bathroom was a bit cramped. no lounge area, but with so much to see and do in the area, it was not really an issue for me.

I recently stayed at Tarn Hows in Keswick for a couple of nights and had an amazing experience. The hosts, John and Julia, were incredibly welcoming and helpful, assisting with parking. The location was perfect, just a short walk to the town center and lakeside, and a quick drive to attractions like Castlerigg stone circle and Honister slate mine. And speaking of the stone circle, we managed to catch the sunrise there, which was a truly unforgettable experience. Tarn Hows provided excellent hospitality, delicious breakfast, and a fantastic location for exploring the area.
