The hotel was clean and had excellent facilities. The location, right by the viaduct and next to the river, was beautiful and convenient for everything. The breakfast was a pleasant surprise and the staff were friendly and attentive.

Our stay at Teardrop Cottage was wonderful. We found the room to be comfortable and the bed was especially nice. Although the wallpaper was a bit overwhelming, everything else in the room was great. The tea and coffee facilities were well-stocked and had everything we needed. The owner, Mike, was incredibly kind and attentive, making sure our room was cozy and even providing extra amenities. The deluxe room with a hot tub was absolutely gorgeous, with lots of little extras that made our stay even better. Mike also gave us excellent recommendations for nearby pubs and restaurants. We only wish we could have stayed longer!

I loved the little extra touches in the room, such as chocolates, biscuits, ground coffee, and hot chocolate with marshmallows. The location was perfect, with easy access to the town and castle ruins, and a beautiful riverside walk. I had a great stay and will definitely be returning for a longer visit in the summer.

We visited Knaresborough for a 2-night stay and decided to book the Chocolate Room at Teardrop Cottage. The room, although small, was clean and comfortable, with a lovely view of the viaduct. The separate private bathroom was spacious and well-equipped, featuring a shower and roll-top bath. We also had access to a private terrace with stunning views. Mike, our host, was friendly and helpful. The whole property was beautifully furnished and had many thoughtful touches, like marshmallows and chocolates. We will definitely return!

Situated in a prime location near the river and town with steep roads/step access. Close to railway station. Plenty of restaurants and pubs. Mike, the owner, is attentive and ensures guests have everything they need for breakfast.

Despite the weather, we had a fantastic time soaking in the tub. the location of the cottage is beautiful, situated next to a river and a viaduct. the rooftop terrace offers stunning views of the area. - the breakfasts were amazing, with a wide variety of options and everything was of high quality.

The weather was a bit of a spoiler for us, but it didn't stop us from enjoying the hot tub. It would have been nice to have more information about nearby restaurants and attractions in the cottage or from the host.
