The property had a welcoming feel and a good layout. The room was spotless and had everything I needed, including complementary tea and coffee, towels, WiFi, shower gel, and shampoo. The staff member Charlotte was very helpful and solution-oriented. The breakfast menu had delicious options like the avocado-poached egg dish.

There was nothing I didn't like.

The location of the hotel was perfect, right in the heart of the city. It made exploring the area super convenient and saved us a lot of time. the staff were friendly and always willing to help with any questions or concerns we had. One of the best aspects was the cleanliness of the room. It was spotless and well-maintained, which made our stay very comfortable.

Breakfast was a bit disappointing. the lack of fresh fruit and the fact that we had to ask for toast each morning was a letdown.

We recently had a romantic escape and had a fantastic time! the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, going above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. They knew who we were as soon as we arrived and even carried our luggage to our room. the room itself was beautiful, cozy, and had all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. We also loved the central location, being close to all the key attractions and amenities. It made exploring the area so convenient. One more thing we enjoyed was the delicious breakfast provided every morning, setting a great start to our day.

While our overall experience was amazing, there were a couple of minor inconveniences. Finding the car park was a bit challenging, so it would have been helpful to receive clear instructions beforehand.

Stayed at the Admiral Hornblower for a few nights and had a fantastic experience. The staff, especially Daniel, were incredibly efficient and welcoming. The hotel has beautiful and cosy public areas with open fires, creating a great atmosphere. The location is convenient and there is easy parking at the rear. The food was excellent, especially the huge breakfast. The room in the courtyard area was quiet and the power shower was amazing. couldn't fault it. Well done to everyone at the Admiral Hornblower!

my recent stay in oakham exceeded expectations. admiral hornblower was welcoming and accommodating, even finding me a parking space during renovations. the bar staff made me feel at home, serving delicious food and well-kept ales. the modernized rooms and friendly breakfast staff added to a great experience.

the courtyard room was perfect, despite being different from our previous stay. it was serviceable and had hot water and spare heaters. the breakfast was pleasant, although i would've liked fresh fruit. overall, a lovely hotel/pub/restaurant that we would use again, just not this room.

The tv placement and size made it difficult to use, but the worst part was the oversize green emergency light that stayed on all night.

The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of the town, with a small car park right in the centre. The staff were friendly and attentive, providing a warm welcome upon arrival. The rooms were well-maintained, nicely decorated, and had a cosy atmosphere. The breakfast served in the bright dining room was delicious and satisfying. The hotel also had a lovely beer garden and was well placed for exploring the nearby Rutland Water.

If you happen to get a room above the bar, be prepared for some noise until late at night.

The Admiral Hornblower served delicious food in their bar and restaurant, and the breakfast was top-notch. The location was perfect for exploring the nearby castle and the High Street. The room was clean and comfortable, with a good shower and a comfortable bed. The staff, especially Wayne the manager, were helpful and attentive. The pub had an easily accessible car park, which was a plus.
