We had a fantastic stay at Angel. the room was spacious with a comfortable four poster bed and a clean, tidy bathroom. the staff were helpful and even arranged a more accessible room for my disabled mother. the food was delicious and great value for money, especially the evening specials. Breakfast was freshly prepared and satisfying. Parking was conveniently available nearby.

We had a great time exploring the beautiful Wye Valley and Forest of Dean during our stay at this hotel. Our room was incredibly spacious, complete with a stunning four-poster bed and a shower that actually worked! The pub downstairs was a fantastic social hub, offering a wide selection of drinks and the restaurant served simple, yet delicious meals with excellent service. The friendly and welcoming staff made our stay even more enjoyable, and we will definitely be coming back.

The only downside was that our room was located directly above the pub entrance, resulting in a noisy and disruptive Saturday night. Additionally, we were unable to turn off the radiator, so we had to keep the window open, which meant we could hear rowdy fights happening outside.

Great value for money with comfortable rooms and a delicious breakfast. the staff were friendly and offered helpful advice about parking in the limited space available. the hotel's location was convenient for exploring the surrounding area.

One of the bar staff members was a bit grumpy, which slightly dampened the friendly atmosphere. noise from the tapas bar next door, particularly on weekends, could be loud and somewhat disruptive during the night.

The location of the hotel is ideal for exploring the beautiful Forest of Dean walks, as well as being conveniently situated in the center of town. Guests have easy access to multiple attractions and the hotel is in close proximity to two night clubs for those seeking evening entertainment. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with friendly staff providing good service. The breakfast is delicious and there are lovely views from some of the rooms.

There were some noise issues due to the nearby night clubs, which impacted the quality of sleep for some guests.

This hotel was a pleasant surprise in terms of value for money. The prices for the rooms were very reasonable considering the attention to detail and the character they had. We stayed in a room with a 4 poster bed, which added a touch of elegance. The balcony was a lovely addition, providing a great spot to relax and enjoy the view. We also found it convenient that the room had 2 additional single beds, perfect for families or groups traveling together. The breakfast included in our stay was simply delicious, with top quality ingredients.

Arrived on New Year's Eve for a one-night stay and were pleasantly surprised by the friendly atmosphere and character of the hotel. The family room was spotless and lovely. The staff were great and even let us check in early for a wedding. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of choices. Highly recommended!

We stayed at this hotel for Christmas and we were pleasantly surprised by the festive decorations and the warm welcome from the staff. the breakfast and evening meals were tasty with a good variety of options, and the Christmas dinner was excellent. We appreciated the convenient location close to local attractions and shops, which made it easy for us to explore the area. the spacious rooms and comfortable beds provided a cozy and restful stay.

There was some noise from outside the hotel, particularly on Christmas Eve and Boxing Day, which made it challenging to sleep. the room decor could have been updated, with the carpets showing some wear and tear.
