The Blackamoor Inn was definitely worth the money - great value for what we got. The room was spacious, clean, and the bed was comfortable. The location was convenient for visiting Fountains Abbey, and the staff, especially Seamus, were fantastic - friendly and accommodating.

The morning meal could have been better with more options.

A delightful surprise! The interior of the inn was impeccably designed and welcoming, creating a charming ambiance. The staff were friendly, efficient, and attentive to our needs, ensuring a successful experience. The food, drinks, and overall management of our evening's dining were impeccable, offering a delicious and satisfying meal. We felt no pressure and appreciated the support from the staff. it was a wonderful evening, excellent value for money, and we can't praise the team enough. We stayed at the Blackamoor Inn for a family wedding in Scotland and to visit Fountains Abbey. The welcoming and relaxed atmosphere immediately put us at ease after a challenging drive in heavy rain. The gin and tonic and bloody Mary were perfect, and the breakfast of top quality bacon, sausage, black pudding, egg. The bed was extremely comfortable with a new mattress and the bedding was light and warm on a cold night.

Do recommend this hotel.

The location of this peaceful restaurant is very convenient, as it is just across from Ripon race course, making it perfect for racegoers. The rooms are clean, pretty, and indulgent, with super comfortable beds and amazing pillows. The staff are helpful, friendly, and ensure that guests have everything they need. Guests can look forward to a tasty and good value for money breakfast. The warm and welcoming bar and restaurant add to the overall positive experience.

The breakfast could use some improvement, as some items like the sausage and bacon were not cooked to perfection.

Delicious food and friendly service!

We stopped by for a bite to eat and were blown away by the amazing food. The menu may be small, but the options sounded fantastic. We decided to try their mega-mezze sharing plate with a side of chunky chips. The mezze was a mouthwatering combination of chorizo, salmon, prawns, tomatoes, olives. And let's not forget about the chunky chips - perfectly fried and not at all greasy. With a couple of drinks, we even had change from £30.00! Talk about value for money!

Although it wasn't walkable to Ripon, it was a perfect overnight stop on our way to Scotland. Its location off the main road into Ripon made it easily accessible by car.

Great for a short stay and good location for exploring the area. the staff were friendly and welcoming and the room was comfortable and clean. the breakfast was delicious with plenty of options to choose from.

The WiFi was not working during our stay and there was no mirror in the room which made getting ready a bit of a challenge. the bathroom was a bit small, but it was clean and functional.
