As party people, we absolutely loved the welcoming residents lounge where we could relax and enjoy a cup of tea, a biscuit, and an apple after a late night out. The comfortable beds in the gorgeous rooms were perfect for a good night's sleep. And to top it all off, finding an Easter egg on our pillows was such a delightful surprise!

the briers country house exceeded our expectations during our stay. the room was big and spacious, with a kettle for making tea and coffee. the stunning gardens and mountain views added to the peaceful atmosphere. it was well priced and conveniently located near newcastle. we enjoyed the nice coffee machines and sitting areas around the house.

Breakfast room was dark and lacked sufficient lighting.

We recently stayed at this new and charmingly revamped place and were pleasantly surprised. As early risers, we loved the ease of access from our ground floor room to the beautiful garden, allowing us to enjoy the peaceful surroundings. The inclusive bed and breakfast package was a bonus, and our granddaughter had a comfortable extra bed. The breakfast spread offered everything we could ask for, with fresh and plentiful options. Excellent value for money in a picturesque setting.

From the moment we arrived, the host Darren made us feel right at home. We were delighted to bring our furry companion along, and the pet-friendly gardens were ideal for him.

Great location with stunning views and well signposted. The deluxe room was really nice with a very clean and modern ensuite. The mattress was excellent, providing a comfortable night's sleep.

The breakfast service was poor, with food left in the fridge and on the counter for guests to help themselves. We had to find our own cutlery and lay our own tables.

Lovely location with picturesque views, on the doorstep of Tollymore Forest Park. Comfortable and beautiful rooms with added Easter egg on the pillow. Great breakfast included in a reasonable price. Friendly staff and a resident's lounge for relaxation.

Arriving at Briers Country House, we were welcomed with a complimentary alcoholic beverage. The spacious room and bathroom exceeded our expectations, and the added convenience of a kettle for making tea and coffee was a nice touch. The stunning gardens and mountain views provided a picturesque backdrop, and it was only a short drive to Newcastle. The price for two people sharing was reasonable, and we appreciated the nice coffee machines and comfortable sitting areas throughout the house. Diane, the host, was exceptionally helpful, providing suggestions for walks and dining options. We highly recommend this place.
