My husband and I stayed at this hotel during our train journey and it was perfect for us. The location, right in front of King Cross Station, was amazing. The hotel itself had a nice and original design, and the staff were friendly. Our small double room was new, clean, and surprisingly quiet. The breakfast had a lovely choice of options, and overall, we really enjoyed our stay. If you're a couple looking for a nice and clean place near the station, this hotel is perfect!

This hotel is a great find! The location is perfect, just a couple of minutes from the station, but tucked away on a quiet street. The staff are super helpful and friendly, and the basic amenities are great- the room had enough space to open a big case and fit 2 bags. The breakfast was included in the rate with warmed plates, which was a nice touch.

All in all, this hotel was really good and there's not much that could be improved upon.

Stayed at The California for a weekend trip. Fantastic top-floor room with modern design and great amenities, including a balcony. The 24-hour bar and friendly staff were a bonus. Surprisingly quiet for a central location. Stylish art deco bar, free WiFi, and a cooked breakfast made for a pleasant stay. The triple room was spacious and not crowded. Safe to walk alone in the dark from the nearby station. Will definitely be back!

Our group of friends chose to stay in a hotel close to Kings Cross station, and this one was just we needed. Thanks to its perfect location, we could easily reach any part of the city, Cambridge included. Moreover, the staff was quite helpful, and the breakfast was delicious.

The only downside was the basic room we stayed in, which was small and lacked a lift, and we had to carry our luggage up several flights of stairs.

The location of the hotel was perfect for exploring the city. Although there was no lift, the stairs were manageable. The room was cozy and had everything I needed, including tea and a kettle. I had a pleasant stay at this hotel.

The location was perfect for catching an early Eurostar train and easy walking distance to a popular attraction. the beds were very comfortable and we appreciated the complimentary tea and coffee facilities in the room.

The room was not accurately reflected by the photos on the website and was smaller than expected. the floor could have been cleaner and we struggled with the tiny winding stairs and multi-levelled areas to reach our room.
