My recent winter break at Carpenters Arms was simply lovely. I upgraded to a cozy garden room which was not only excellent value but also accommodated my small dog. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with complimentary teas, coffee, and toiletries. I particularly enjoyed lounging by the log fire, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff were friendly and the food choices were top-notch. I also appreciated the drying area, perfect for post-walk activities. it was a wonderful stay that surpassed my expectations.

Drawbacks: Although I was delighted with my upgraded room, it would have been even better if it was included in my initial package. Additionally, breakfast starting at 08.00 was a bit late for me, as I had a strict 8.30 deadline to leave.

The cleanliness was impeccable, with spotlessly clean rooms and a stylish bathroom. The hotel facilities were great, especially the beautiful garden that provided a relaxing ambiance. The parking was convenient, and there were plenty of spaces available. The location was perfect, offering easy access to nearby attractions and beautiful walking routes. The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly, making me feel right at home. The breakfast in the restaurant was delicious, and the staff provided prompt and attentive service.

The bed and pillows were very comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. the quiet and spacious bedroom and bathroom were a pleasant surprise. the view from the patio window was beautiful, creating a serene atmosphere.

First, there was some unpleasantness in the form of dog excrement outside our door in the morning, which was quite off-putting. Second, our room lacked a living flame fire, which made it feel less inviting compared to other rooms.

The room we stayed in was spacious and comfortable, with a large TV and a well-equipped bathroom. the staff were welcoming and friendly, and the location was great for walking and exploring the surrounding area. the fact that the hotel was dog-friendly was a huge bonus for us.

The younger staff members seemed inexperienced and lacked attention to detail, which affected the overall service. the lack of senior leadership and support was evident, as the more experienced staff appeared to be under a lot of pressure and were left to cope on their own.

I booked the Carpenters Arms last minute for work and didn't know what to expect. But I was pleasantly surprised by everything this place had to offer. the dinner in the evening was lovely, and the breakfast in the morning was equally enjoyable. Unlike other hotels I've stayed in for work, I didn't feel rushed during my time here. the atmosphere was accommodating and relaxed, and everything was carried out to a very high standard. the rooms were well designed with a sitting area, and the bed was so comfortable that I didn't want to leave it. the location was great, with fantastic views and easy access to Thirsk and the A19 trunk road. the Carpenters Arms will be my go-to place when I'm in Yorkshire.

The rooms are warm, cozy, and comfortable, with spacious bathrooms and stunning views of the fields. The staff provides outstanding service and makes you feel special. The home-cooked food is delicious, with a wide variety of options to choose from. it's the perfect pub to relax and unwind in a picturesque location.

The price of water can be quite steep.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The room was spotless, comfortable, and well-appointed. The open gas fire in the winter was a wonderful touch. The hotel facilities were excellent, including a large modern bathroom and access to a beautiful garden. The location on the edge of the North York Moors was stunning, and we enjoyed drinks and lunch in the peaceful surroundings. The staff were friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The breakfast offered a variety of choices and was included in the room rate.

That the room we stayed in was quite hot, even with the windows open. It would have been great if there had been fans available, especially during the summer months.

Food for breakfast could have been better - something we hope they can improve upon.

the room was beautifully designed and had breathtaking views. the breakfast was delicious and had a variety of options to choose from. Their Sun terrace was perfect to unwind and relax in. the location was ideal as it was close to many attractions. the service was top-notch and the staff was always ready to help with anything I needed.

The only minor issue I had was that the staff at dinner seemed a bit overwhelmed which caused a delay in my order. once my meal arrived it was worth the wait as it was absolutely delicious.
