Nothing that I didn't like.

the room service was prompt and efficient, ensuring we had everything we needed. the bar and lounge area had a great ambiance, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. the breakfast was lovely and had a wide choice of options. the location is central for day trips into the Brecon Beacons and South West Wales.

One thing that could be improved is the lack of double glazing in the bedrooms, which made it quite noisy at night due to road traffic. This may disturb light sleepers.

We found the hotel's location excellent for exploring Wales on motorcycles, with easy access to the nearby King's Head Inn. the staff were genuinely helpful and welcoming, showing us to our room and ensuring we had a comfortable stay. the breakfast was top-notch, featuring a delicious full Welsh spread.

Charming historical building with excellent food and friendly staff

I had a delightful stay at this hotel, with a room that offered a stunning view of the castle and impeccable cleanliness. the warm and welcoming staff made the experience truly memorable, complemented by the delicious food and drinks served at the hotel. the central location was convenient for exploring the town, although some minor maintenance issues in the outside rear area could be improved.

I absolutely adored the charming decor of the hotel with its rustic oak beams and cozy open log fire in the restaurant. It reminded me of old English cottages, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. the easy accessibility of the hotel for senior people like myself made navigating the premises a breeze, from the comfortable lounges to the well-kept gardens.

I would wish for more support for the children working there, ensuring they have enough assistance during busy times for a smoother experience for senior guests.

My room with the antique four-poster bed was incredibly spacious and cozy, making me feel right at home. the large bathroom with a roll-top bath added a touch of luxury that I really enjoyed. As a young guest, I loved the unique charm and character of the individually designed rooms.

The shower pressure was a bit off, but that didn't bother me too much.

In a quaint town with a fun sheep fair nearby. Enjoyed free parking and friendly staff. the room had a cozy vibe, with coffee and tea facilities. the breakfast was decent, especially the eggs.

stayed at a lovely hotel next to castle, with a delightful experience. the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, quickly resolving any issues. our room was upgraded, and the restaurant meal was fabulous. breakfast had a nice selection and the room had a lovely history and character.

The staff at the hotel were amazing, and the drinks were very good. The location was excellent for attending The Royal Welsh Show, with friendly and attentive staff. the building's age resulted in creaking floorboards and a soft mattress. the experience was enjoyable, with delicious snacks and meals.
