I recently had a fabulous stay at a charming hotel in the heart of a quaint village. The staff were incredibly welcoming and made me feel right at home. The room I stayed in was quiet and comfortable, complete with luxurious linens and dressing gowns. I was delighted to find a selection of loose teas and coffee in the room as well. The dinner I had at the hotel was delicious, and the breakfast the next morning offered a good variety of options. The hotel's location was perfect, situated between the village square and a renowned restaurant. I had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting the area.

Although my room was lovely, I did find that there was a shortage of electric sockets and no mirror near the available socket, making it difficult to use a hairdryer. Additionally, I felt the room I stayed in was not worth the price I paid, as I expected more for the amount I spent.

The location of the hotel is one of its standout features. Situated next to the river and overlooking the bridge, it offers a picturesque and charming setting. The hotel itself is close by other attractions, making it a convenient choice for exploring the area. the staff provide excellent service, ensuring a comfortable stay. The rooms are thoughtfully prepared, with unique features such as a TV fixed in the wall above the bedhead. The thick walls also lend to a peaceful and quiet atmosphere.

One downside is the lack of proper soundproofing between rooms. This can lead to disruptions in sleep, especially if neighboring guests have loud TVs or conversations.

wonky floors and beams

The location is fantastic, right in the centre of a charming village with easy access to other good restaurants. The room was nicely decorated, clean, and had a comfortable bed. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The breakfast had a good selection and everything was of high quality. The bathroom was spacious and well-maintained. Private parking was available. it offered a great value for money and a pleasant stay.

The preparation of the rooms could have been better, as there was a loud film playing in the next room that could be heard clearly through the walls.

The food was outstanding and the atmosphere was superb. the location is perfect for exploring the village and surrounding area. the staff were extremely welcoming and attentive, providing excellent customer service.

The drinks were quite pricey, which made it difficult to justify staying at the bar after dinner. the room had a slightly outdated look, but it was still comfortable and had all the amenities we needed.

The Cavendish Arms in Cartmel is a hidden gem. The location is ideal, close to pubs and amenities. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating. The food, both for dinner and breakfast, is outstanding. The tea and coffee provided are of excellent quality.

The Cavendish Arms is a cozy pub with a great location in the center of a charming village. It's close to other fantastic restaurants like L'enclume, so there are plenty of options for dining. The old building has thick walls, which ensure a quiet and peaceful atmosphere. Our room was clean and comfortable, with a lovely view. The staff were friendly and provided excellent service. The breakfast options were delicious and satisfying.

The sound insulation in the hotel could be improved, as we could hear noise from the neighboring room.

Excellent location for exploring the lakes, with scenic walks, pubs, bars, shops, and off-licence type shops within walking distance.

The location is perfect, right in the centre of Cartmel with private parking. The rooms are well-equipped, with a massive walk-in shower on the first floor. Breakfast is a delight, served in pasta bowls with a good selection of drinks.
