the clive is a true gem in ludlow! stayed here during house hunting and fell in love. the rooms are spacious and comfy, plus the 100 acres bathroom products are a nice touch. the staff is welcoming and the food is superb. ludlow farm shop next door is a treat too!

Stayed at The Clive for a few nights and it was absolutely delightful. The room was spacious, clean, and tucked away from any noise. The food was delicious and locally sourced. The Georgian house was beautifully decorated, and my room in the old stables was a charming surprise. The bathroom was lovely, with a large shower and luxurious products. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was top-notch, with fresh fruit and a cooked meal made to order. a fantastic stay!

I stayed at a lovely hotel in a courtyard between a restaurant and cafe. The room was attractive, with oak beams and a slate-floored bathroom. The service was friendly and professional, with one staff member assisting us from check-in through dinner and check-out. The breakfast, served in the neighboring cafe conservatory, was delicious, with hot bacon and mushroom and a cafetière of good coffee. The location was also convenient, as it was next to a food hall with exceptional local produce.

There were some minor inconveniences. The restaurant was closed on Friday night, which we didn't know in advance.

Unfortunate food mishap

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The best aspects were the cleanliness, hotel facilities, and the helpfulness of the staff. The room I stayed in was spacious, well-decorated, and very clean. There were plenty of towels and wardrobe space, and I appreciated the little extra touches like the toiletries and the coffee and tea provided. The hotel itself had a nice look and feel to it, and there were additional amenities on site like a farm shop and garden centre, which I unfortunately did not have time to visit. The breakfast offered a wide choice of buffet and cooked items, and the staff were quick to refill my coffee cup without me needing to ask. I would highly recommend this hotel.

the bar staff were incredibly friendly, and the kitchen staff next door were lovely and helpful when we needed assistance. On top of that, we were pleasantly surprised to find free wifi upon our arrival. the inn is also conveniently situated for those visiting the Ludlow Food show, with taxis costing around £8-12 and a bus stop right outside. it's important to note that cash is required for the bus fare. the setting next to the renowned Ludlow Food Centre adds to the unique charm of the place.
