We had a wonderful stay at The Coal Merchant's House, a charming guesthouse just outside the main centre. Linda, the host, gave us a warm welcome and was extremely helpful with local tips. Our room was clean and homey, with little extras like bottled water and toiletries. The breakfast was amazing, with plenty of choices and everything cooked to perfection. We felt like guests, not just visitors, and will definitely be returning.

Linda, the host, was friendly and attentive. the breakfast selection was good, although it could have had a few more cereal options like Weetabix. the room was nice and comfortable, with a four-poster bed. the attention to detail was impressive, with added extras like a make-up remover flannel and a hair straightener holder.

Cleanliness was outstanding, with impeccably tidy rooms and a fresh, airy feel. Hotel facilities were excellent, including a well-stocked fridge with fresh milk and a selection of hot drinks. The convenient parking made transportation a breeze, and the hotel's location on the outskirts of town allowed for a peaceful stay while still being close enough to easily reach the center and the charming harbor. The breakfast was top-notch, with a fantastic cooked meal and a variety of options to cater for any dietary needs. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful, providing great advice on local attractions.

Stayed at The Coal Merchant's House for a weekend getaway. Spotlessly clean, warm, and comfortable with a large bed and lovely decor. Convenient location, just a short walk or cheap taxi ride to the center. The host, Linda, was wonderful, attentive but not overbearing. Loved the big mugs of Yorkshire tea with fresh milk in the morning. Breakfast was delicious and served in a cozy room with a coal fire. Linda even introduced us to a new beach in the area. Would recommend and stay again!
