This hotel is a real gem on a lovely island in the Scottish Inner Hebrides. Its location, just a short walk from the ferry dock, makes it extremely convenient for travelers arriving by ferry. The staff at this hotel are friendly, knowledgeable, and always ready to help, ensuring a pleasant stay.

Great cozy hotel with delicious food and friendly staff, perfect base for exploring Colonsay. Enjoyed the sunny terrace and quiet garden for unwinding after a day of sightseeing. Only bummer was missing out on a room view after shelling out top dollar. Maybe next time! 🌞.

Just got back from a cozy hotel in a quiet spot near the pier. LOVED the view from my room! the bed wasn't the best, but the free airport shuttle was a nice surprise. Would stay here again! the place looks even better in person than in the photos.

The hotel is perfectly located near the harbour, making it convenient for guests arriving on the midday ferry from Port Askaig on Islay. The communal areas are inviting and cozy, with roaring fires to enjoy on rainy days. The rooms are comfortable, including spacious bathrooms and everything you need. The staff is friendly and attentive, ensuring a pleasant stay.

Staff availability could be improved, as it was sometimes difficult to track them down.

We had a lovely weekend on a beautiful island. the hotel's beds were incredibly comfortable, and the atmosphere was great - offering a cosy and informal place to relax with log fires. the friendly staff provided us with an excellent service, collecting us from the airstrip and taking us back at the end of our break. the hotel was located near the pier, which made it easy for us to travel around the island.

The hotel didn't provide access to WiFi or TV in our rooms. Though, not having access to these amenities was a bonus for us as we were able to spend some quality time away from technology.

On our midday ferry from Port Askaig on Islay, we were excited to arrive on the beautiful island of Colonsay. The staff at the hotel were very helpful and even provided us with a free lift from the airport. Our room, the Ardskenish, had a comfortable king bed and views of the gardens and water. The bathroom, although a bit small, was modern and clean. the service was great and we enjoyed a delicious breakfast with warm house-baked croissants.

The bar area can get quite noisy in the evenings, especially when there are large groups or during the pub quiz night. This might not be the best place for those seeking a quiet and intimate evening.

We recently stayed at The Colonsay Hotel on a research trip to explore our family history. The location on this remote Hebridean island was absolutely stunning, with breathtaking views towards Jura. The hotel itself was beautifully maintained and had a perfect blend of modern amenities with a charming old-fashioned feel. The staff at the hotel were incredibly welcoming and helpful, making us feel right at home. The food in the restaurant was outstanding, and we also enjoyed exploring the nearby gardens at Colonsay House. our experience was unforgettable and we would definitely stay here again.
