Best aspects were the spacious room with rustic surroundings in a quiet area, the excellent value for money, and the friendly and welcoming staff who greeted us with a complimentary drink. The breakfast was delicious and made to order, and there were also plenty of options for fruits, yogurts, and cereals. The hotel had nice homely touches, including a lounge area with board games and books. It was a great location for exploring the North Yorkshire attractions and heading up to Whitby on the coast. We also found a lovely pub for dinner nearby. Cannot find any fault.
