I can't believe how comfortable the room was - the best sleep ever! 😍 breakfast was amazing too. Unfortunately, my room only had a skylight, no view. Staff were so caring when i fell ill. Thank you! .

I adored the cozy and charming decor of the hotel, with beautiful traditional furnishings and lovely flower arrangements in the main areas. It made me feel like I was staying in a warm, welcoming home. the staff were always ready to assist me with my bags and were patient with this old lady as I navigated the corridors and stairs. I truly appreciated that they provided umbrellas for rainy days, ensuring our comfort on walks to the pub.

I wish for a clearer sign directing to the lift for easier access for us elderly guests. the children working there were lovely, but sometimes it was hard to find assistance quickly.

Stayed here for Easter and had a great time. the room was spacious and clean, with a comfortable bed and fluffy pillows. the breakfast was delicious with a good selection of local produce. the hotel is conveniently located near shops and restaurants. One of the best aspects was the friendly, helpful staff who made our stay very enjoyable.

The room was a bit noisy as it faced the street and we could hear traffic throughout the night. the Wi-Fi was unreliable and we had to constantly log back in.

Durham city, with its multitude of restaurants and bars along the river bank, is definitely worth a visit. The hotel has a modernized charm while still retaining its character and history.
