The warm and genuine welcome from the staff made us feel instantly at home. The location was perfect, right in the heart of the charming town, making it easy to explore the area. We loved the original charm and character of the hotel, especially the cosy dining room and relaxing lounge with a log burner for those chilly nights. And let's not forget the local brews at the pub, where we got to mingle with the friendly locals.

While not a major issue, the bar and restaurant area could use a little updating. However, it looks like they are already working on it, as there was scaffolding and roof tiles being replaced.

Stayed at The Crown Hotel for a mini cycling break. Exceptional staff, very clean spacious room, lovely restaurant with fresh well-cooked food. The breakfasts are amazing, such a wide choice and large helpings. The hotel looks and feels newly redone and is a pleasure to stay in. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. I really enjoyed the public areas of the hotel and, after a long day spent walking, the bath in the room!
