The room was tastefully decorated and the bed was comfortable despite the slightly uneven floor. The shower had a strong jet and the staff were helpful. The food at the pub was good and the ambiance was enjoyable. The location was convenient for visiting Houghton House and the coast. The breakfast was delicious and there were plenty of tea and coffee options provided in the room.

The traffic noise from the busy road was a problem when the window was open at night, but closing the window would block out the noise. Otherwise, felt quite safe, no reason to complain.

the amenities provided were of good quality, including a decent coffee available on the in-room tray. We were running late and the hotel staff went above and beyond by contacting us to check if we would still be arriving and if we wanted to eat. They even extended the kitchen hours to accommodate our late arrival, which was greatly appreciated after a long and difficult journey.

My partner and I had a wonderful couples trip at The Crown Inn. The location in the beer garden, tucked behind metal gates, provided a peaceful and secluded atmosphere away from the passing traffic. The open pub gave a light and airy feel, perfect for relaxation. Our room was nicely decorated and the staff provided warm and friendly service throughout our stay. The breakfast, served by the lovely Bridget, was delicious and varied. We also appreciated the comfortable beds and the attention to detail in the rooms, such as the availability of a fan during a particularly hot day.

We did encounter a small inconvenience with the bathroom window sash cord being broken, requiring us to prop it open with a toilet roll.

The bedroom had a huge and comfortable double bed which didn't leave much space around it. the bedroom was freezing cold, and I don't think the heat had been on for a few days, especially as it had been particularly cold.
