I had a great time staying at a charming hotel in the lovely village. The location was perfect, with easy access to both Lecht and Glenshee ski resorts. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly throughout my stay. The meals at the hotel were delicious and the lounge with the open fire was cozy and inviting. Despite the older rooms, I was pleased with my choice and enjoyed the picturesque village view. I would recommend this hotel for a short winter break.

Communication was difficult, couldn't reach reception and missed out on food.

I had a fantastic experience at Balmoral Arms! the lounge, restaurant, and breakfast room were beautifully decorated with tweed and tartan, truly capturing the charm of Scotland. I enjoyed a wonderful afternoon tea by the fire, with attentive and friendly staff making the experience even better. the rooms were lovely and the breakfast, which was a la carte, was absolutely delicious. it was a great stay and I couldn't have asked for more.

The hotel offered two complementary snacks which was a nice touch. the location was very convenient, as it was close to all the main attractions and public transportation. the bed was comfortable and provided a good night's sleep.

The room was quite dated and could use a refurbishment. the bathroom was also in need of updating, with some fixtures feeling old and worn.

The Victorian ambience and charm were fantastic. Bikes were securely stored. Staff were excellent and obliging. Great breakfast and rare treat.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating to us and our two golden retrievers. They allowed us to have the dogs with us during dinner and breakfast, even providing biscuit jars for them in the bar. The room was well-equipped, clean, and spacious, with tea, coffee. The hotel's location was excellent for exploring the area, with free parking available directly opposite.

We arrived at the hotel early in the morning, around 5:30 am, after a long trek through the beautiful Scottish countryside. Despite the early hour, the staff warmly welcomed us and allowed us to rest in the comfortable and cozy common areas until our rooms were ready. The dining area was particularly inviting, with its traditional Scottish decor and a stunning view of the surrounding mountains. The shower in our room was spacious, and the carpet was clean and well-maintained. The attentive staff made sure that our every need was met, providing excellent service throughout our stay. The breakfast menu offered a variety of tasty options, and we enjoyed a delicious meal to start our day.

The hotel seemed to attract some loud-mouthed residents, who were clearly workmen on an overnight stay. Their loud conversations and occasional outbursts disrupted the peaceful ambiance of the hotel and made it challenging to relax and enjoy our time there.
