The owners and staff were accommodating, the room was spacious with great facilities, comfy bed and a great shower, lovely views over Derbyshire countryside, delicious breakfast with quality ingredients, overall a brilliant stay.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The cleanliness of the rooms was top-notch, and the bathroom was warm and inviting. The hotel facilities were impressive, with attention to detail in the decor and fit-out. It was evident that the hotel had recently been renovated, as the new carpets throughout were a nice touch. The location was perfect for us, allowing easy access to both Sheffield and the northern Peak District. The breakfast was excellent, and the staff even accommodated our request to have it earlier than usual. The food overall was superb, with a varied menu and professional waiting staff and chefs. The friendly and welcoming staff made us feel like friends rather than just guests.

The evening meal is also good value for money. The bar area is popular with locals. The location is excellent and there are good parking facilities.

the Devonshire Arms exceeded my expectations in every way. the room was incredibly spacious and beautifully appointed, with double aspect windows that allowed for breathtaking views. the restaurant offered an excellent selection of dishes, and the staff were not only kind, but also incredibly helpful. Unfortunately, my husband fell ill during our stay and had to spend a night in the hospital. the staff showed so much compassion and went out of their way to ensure our comfort and well-being. They even provided us with sandwiches and coffee for our journey back home. I couldn't have asked for better service. the Devonshire Arms truly deserves its reputation as a first-class establishment.

There was an event happening in the bar on the night I arrived, and it went on longer than expected. As a result, there were no spare seats available, and I had to drink in my room before dinner.

I recently had a fabulous stay at a hidden gem in Derbyshire. The room was beautiful, well-appointed, and huge with double aspect windows. The bathroom was lovely and warm, perfect for unwinding after a long day. The staff were excellent, offering sandwiches and coffee for my journey home. The food at the restaurant was superb, with a large choice of dishes and a lovely open kitchen. The quirky decor and modern touches added a unique charm to the hotel.

The breakfast didn't live up to my expectations as the omelette and bacon sandwich weren't good.
