the room was spotless, and the beer garden was perfect for chilling with a few drinks. got great local tips. the breakfast - cooked to order - was a standout. the owner was super helpful - ensuring the kids were happy and even carrying bags to the car.

While the building had lots of stairs, they were manageable with sturdy banisters. Despite a few minor drawbacks, such as low ceilings and the lack of a window in our room, our overall experience at the Douglas Hotel was fantastic. The freshly made breakfast using quality products was a great start to our day. Langholm, a relaxing and delightful town, is definitely worth visiting.
