The staff at this hotel were incredibly helpful and accommodating. They made sure we had vegan options for our meals and even provided breakfast trays with vegan products in our room. The food in the restaurant was excellent and the owner went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. The rooms were well-stocked with tea, coffee, and milk, as well as convenient breakfast options. The comfortable beds, clean linen, and luxurious towels added to the overall comfort of our stay.

We felt quite safe during our stay and had no reason to complain.

A warm and welcoming stay at a character-filled hotel. The staff made us feel right at home and went out of their way to accommodate us. The room was comfortable, with a huge bed and a spacious en-suite shower room. The restaurant served delicious homemade food, and the hotel's location on a quiet road made for a peaceful night's sleep. While the building had lots of stairs, they were manageable with sturdy banisters. Despite a few minor drawbacks, such as low ceilings and the lack of a window in our room, our overall experience at the Douglas Hotel was fantastic. We will definitely be returning and would highly recommend it to others.

The value for money at the Douglas Hotel was exceptional. The room was cozy with a huge and comfortable king-sized bed, and even though it didn't have the best view, it was still a good size and impeccably clean. The staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating, making our stay delightful.

Food for breakfast could have been improved with a choice of fruit juices and toast that wasn't as cardboard-like. Nonetheless, these minor issues were overshadowed by the overall nice room, comfortable beds, and excellent service.

The en-suite shower room was also well-maintained. The restaurant offered delicious homemade food, with plenty of options to choose from. The hotel is conveniently located on a quiet main road, with a council car park just across the street for easy parking.

We had a brilliant stay at the hotel, with Douglas, the owner, going above and beyond to make our experience enjoyable. He even gave us a lift to our friend's house, who happened to be his neighbor. The room was well-stocked with tea, coffee, milk, porridge pots. The bed was incredibly comfortable, with clean linen and thick white towels adding a touch of luxury. We also appreciated the ample sockets in the room. As cyclists, we found the hotel's drying room and secure bike storage very helpful. The freshly made breakfast using quality products was a great start to our day. Langholm, a relaxing and delightful town, is definitely worth visiting.
