The hotel itself was immaculately clean and well-maintained, making us feel instantly at home. The room we were given was spacious and beautifully decorated, with all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. The bathroom was excellent, and the walk-in wardrobe was a pleasant surprise.

The floors can be a bit creaky, which may cause some inconvenience to light sleepers.

The location was perfect, with stunning scenery and easy access to Bridgnorth & Severn Valley railway and the south coast. I was pleasantly surprised by the range of breakfast choices available, and the fact that I didn't have to pay extra for smoked salmon was a bonus. The room itself was fantastic, spacious and spotlessly clean, with all the amenities I needed including ironing facilities. The staff really went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and satisfaction.

We had a wonderful romantic escape in this cozy inn. the room was clean and nicely decorated, and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. They even provided us with a complimentary breakfast which was cooked to perfection. the location was ideal, with free parking and plenty of space. It was also close to many local attractions, which made it easy for us to explore the area. We really appreciated the warm welcome and the comfortable atmosphere.

The bathroom, which was quite cramped. the shower was smaller than we expected, and the layout was poorly designed, making it difficult to move around.

Rack of lamb and steak & kidney pie delicious. Waiting time a bit long but worth it. Carvery had three meat options and wide range of veggies. Appetites completely sated. Breakfast had fruit salad, cereals, toast, and unlimited cooked options. Meats from local sources, eggs free range. Staff helpful and friendly. Ample car parking space. Likely choice for next visit. We had an excellent stay at a rustic country pub near Bridgnorth. the Down Inn has great character, with a warm and cosy atmosphere. the staff were very friendly and helpful, even though they were incredibly busy. the food was really good, with a good menu of traditional dishes at very reasonable prices. the carvery was excellent and the breakfast was top class, with freshly cooked poached eggs. We also appreciated the ample free parking and the convenient layout of the hotel.
