I recently had a fantastic stay at a hidden gem in Cornwall. The hotel is located right next to a beautiful castle, providing stunning views of the rolling countryside from its massive windows. The staff were young, helpful, and incredibly welcoming. The basic amenities in the room were great, with a lovely sized TV and a spare bed for my 2-year-old daughter. The breakfast offered excellent sausages and was enjoyed while taking in the breathtaking views.

We had a short stay at Eagle House and it was perfect for our needs. The twin room was spacious and clean, with no trace of previous pets. The bar served a delicious meal and even sang Happy Birthday to my son. Breakfast had a great choice and was cooked beautifully. The hotel itself is a charming Regency town-house with stunning views and its own gin distillery. The staff were friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. A truly unique and memorable stay.

The sash windows in some of the rooms were gappy and drafty, causing discomfort during cold, windy nights.

The decor of the hotel appeared dated and in need of updating, particularly in the areas we stayed in. the bathroom had a red suite and carpet, which seemed out of place and not very appealing.
