my previous stay in thurso was great, but the ferry inn exceeded all expectations during this romantic trip. the room had a beautiful sea view, the breakfast was amazing, and the staff were friendly and helpful. highly recommended.

The Upper Deck at The Ferry Inn offers a great location for those taking the ferry to Orkney. The Captains Gallet restaurant, just two minutes away, serves excellent food and is highly recommended. The room is clean and comfortable, with a nice view of the harbour and bay. The service from the friendly and efficient barmaid is top-notch. The breakfast is good and there are plenty of well-priced drinks available.

At times, there may be a long delay for the evening meal due to understaffing.

Great location next to the ferry terminal, perfect for catching the Scrabster to Stromness ferry. Friendly and genuinely warm staff who were very helpful. Clean and comfortable rooms, and the breakfast served in the Upper Deck restaurant next door was exceptional.

During our romantic escape, we were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful view from our room. the cleanliness of the accommodation was impressive, and we enjoyed a delicious breakfast every day. We also appreciated the helpfulness of the staff, who made our stay even more enjoyable.

The prices in the restaurant were quite high, and the quality of the food did not quite live up to our expectations. the terrace outside needed some cleaning and attention.

I had a great overnight stay at this hotel near the Stromness Ferry. The room was clean and modernized, with a fantastic view of the harbor. the ferry inn in thurso was even better than my last visit. loved the old castle feels of the exterior and the friendly staff. the complimentary scottish breakfast was amazing and the location was perfect for our quick layover to skye.

This hotel has great value for money, especially considering its location right next to the Northlink Ferry terminal for the Orkney ferry at the harbour in Scrabster. The convenience of being able to walk to the ferry within minutes is a huge plus. The restaurant next door provides a great dining option with a perfect view of the harbour. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with comfortable beds and some even offering a view towards the port. The breakfast, with a view of the amazing little harbour, is a perfect way to start the day.
