The staff in the restaurant were attentive and provided excellent service during both dinner and breakfast. There were also leisure facilities available, such as a beautiful garden area and Wi-Fi throughout the hotel. this place provided enhanced comfort and quality services, making my stay truly enjoyable.

The inn had wonderful views, clean facilities, and friendly staff. The food quality was very good, especially the full English breakfast. There was a good selection of ales and wines, and the restaurant and bar had a nice atmosphere.

There were some issues with the room's cleanliness, such as cobwebs and stains on pillows and carpets.

stayed in danby before, but this time at the fox & hounds inn. exceeded my expectations during this biking trip. loved the comforting atmosphere, delicious food, and friendly staff. can't wait to come back.

Had a wonderful Christmas break at this hidden gem! the staff were friendly and welcoming. the rooms were warm, clean, and comfortable with a very nice bed. Enjoyed the fantastic views in the morning. the food in the pub was fabulous and the breakfast was nice. Loved that they were dog-friendly. Great value for money too.

We had a lovely stay at the Fox & Hounds Inn and enjoyed every moment. The room we stayed in was spacious and clean, with a comfortable bed and a spacious bathroom. The staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring we had a great experience. The highlight of our stay was the delicious food at the pub. We had the king prawn and Brie wrapped in Parma ham for starters, followed by the steak and ale pie and scampi for our mains. Each dish was excellent, and we couldn't resist trying the sticky toffee pudding and amaretti and raspberry cheesecake for dessert, which were both heavenly. The service throughout our meal was exceptional. Despite a few minor drawbacks like the limited specials menu and the small TV in the room, our overall experience at the Fox & Hounds Inn was fantastic. We would highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

had a fantastic stay in danby, and the fox & hounds inn exceeded our expectations. the staff were friendly and went out of their way to prepare breakfast for us. the room was excellent, and the food was delicious. loved the idyllic location and the owner's helpful suggestions. highly recommend!

Bathroom wash basin too high.

As women travelling alone, we felt right at home at this rustic country inn. The staff were superb and the pub had a warm and cosy atmosphere with a roaring log fire. The food was tasty and reasonably priced, with plenty of options including gluten-free choices. The service in the dining room was excellent, and breakfast was prompt and efficient with a good range of food.

missed a friendly farewell

During my stay at The Fox & Hounds Inn, I was impressed by the warm and friendly atmosphere. The staff went out of their way to make my dog feel welcome, even allowing us to have breakfast in the bar so he could join us. The location of the inn was absolutely stunning, with breathtaking views of meadows and distant moorland. I also appreciated the attentive service, with the host personally speaking to every guest at breakfast. The newly redecorated Room 3 offered beautiful views and was impeccably clean and comfortable. The delicious breakfast and well-presented cheeseboard from the kitchen were definite highlights. As a fan of real ale, I was pleased to find the selection in great condition. The gin collection was also impressive. Additionally, the proximity to Danby Railway Station made it convenient to explore Whitby by train. I had a fantastic experience at The Fox & Hounds Inn and would gladly return.
