The hotel had a great location, right in the heart of the historic center. We loved being able to walk to all the main attractions and restaurants in the city. the staff was friendly and provided helpful recommendations for places to visit. the room we stayed in was spacious and comfortable, with all the necessary amenities. the breakfast offered a wide variety of delicious options to choose from.

That our room was quite hot and the fan provided was noisy. We also had an issue with the outside light shining into our room through the patio doors, but the night manager was quick to help and find a solution.

Chuck on reception was professional, warm, and friendly. Ana at breakfast provides great customer service. Comfortable beds, nice meal in the restaurant, and great location. Glorious sunset over the roofs from my bedroom window.

We had a very comfortable stay here. The hotel is ideally located right in the town centre, making it easy for us to explore the lovely surroundings of this charming place. The staff were attentive and pleasant, always ready to assist us with any queries we had. The rooms were well-appointed with all the necessary amenities, including ironing facilities and a sitting area. We also enjoyed the welcome drink and the fantastic room service. The terrace and garden furniture provided a great space to relax and enjoy the beautiful views.

We were very impressed during our stay here. The location was perfect, right in the heart of town and within easy walking distance of everything. The service was top-notch, with a warm and friendly welcome from the staff. They even accommodated our early arrival by allowing us to leave our bags before checking in. We were pleasantly surprised when we were upgraded to a beautiful room, which was exquisitely designed and furnished. The breakfast was delicious, with a wide range of choices, and included in the price of the room. The bar was well-stocked and had a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

The room I stayed in was fantastic, very spacious and had all the amenities I needed. the staff were also very helpful and responsive to my requests. the location of the hotel was great, with easy access to nearby attractions and activities. the breakfast served at the hotel was delicious and had a good variety of options.

The pate I had for starters was tasteless and the chateaubriand was accompanied by soggy, lukewarm chips. I also had some issues with the taxi service that the hotel had arranged for me.

Stayed at a charming hotel recently for a business trip. Loved the attentive staff and spacious room. the fact that they offered cocktails and massages really added a luxurious touch. the hotel's location was perfect, with shops, restaurants, and sights nearby. Plus, taking a stroll to Camber Sands was a great way to unwind.

While the hotel had many positives, the size of the bedrooms and bathrooms was a downside. It was really cramped for two people, making it difficult to get ready at the same time.

The manager's rude response to a cleanliness issue left a negative impression.

We stayed in room 18 at the George In and had a fantastic experience. the room was beautifully non-standard with lovely touches, such as a slightly sloping floor that reminded us of the house's history. the view from the room was stunning, overlooking the high street and countryside. We even saw doves flying around the rooftops opposite. the bed was big and comfortable, with luxurious linen that made it hard to get up in the morning. the staff were attentive and the service was good. We enjoyed breakfast in front of the open fire in the welcoming and beautifully lit bar downstairs. a lovely stay in a picturesque location.

the location on the historic High Street was perfect, with attractions such as St Mary's Church and Ypres Tower just minutes away. Our junior suite was spacious and comfortable, with a seating area and large bathroom. the staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfasts were delicious, with a choice of cooked-to-order options. I especially enjoyed the covered courtyard, a lovely spot to relax with a drink. it was a great experience and I would definitely recommend staying here.

The decor is nice, the staff are friendly and professional. We received a bottle of prosecco upon arrival. The breakfast options are great and the cooked portions are good. The room is comfortable with a few noise issues. The location is in a small, old town. Highly recommended for a few nights.

We had a really pleasant stay at this luxurious 4-star hotel. The ambience around the place was delightful, especially the bar, restaurant, and courtyard. The food was excellent, and we enjoyed the good selection of ales and craft beers. The staff, particularly Manuel and Petra, provided exceptional service in the restaurant. The stewed pears for breakfast were delicious and the breakfast staff were very friendly. The hotel's central location allowed us to easily walk around and explore the charming surroundings.

The only minor downside was that the hotel could have had more seating as it was quite busy when we went down for a drink. Despite this, we would highly recommend this hotel to our family and friends.

The George offers a very comfortable stay with well-furnished rooms, a high standard of breakfast and meals, and helpful and courteous staff. The location in the heart of Rye is excellent.
