This hotel is an absolute gem in the heart of Somerset. The pub and shop, combined with its village location, make it a true hub of local life. The owners, Peter and Verayan, were exceptional hosts who made us feel incredibly welcome during our three-night stay. The service provided was consistently good, and we received plenty of helpful advice about nearby attractions. The room was clean and comfortable, providing all the necessary amenities. Additionally, the hotel's proximity to Wells and Glastonbury makes it an ideal base for exploring the area.

I had such a warm welcome at the George Inn! Despite the inn being closed for the Queen's funeral, they still accommodated us and even served us a delicious soup and ploughman's supper. Our room had a comfortable bed and a lovely bathroom with a great view. The inn itself was charming, and John and his staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!
