We had a wonderful romantic escape at this hotel. the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was delicious, featuring locally produced and high-quality food. the room was well-equipped with tea and coffee facilities, and the en-suite bathroom had nice toiletries. We loved the view from our room, overlooking the harbor and the sea. the location of the hotel was perfect, situated within the heart of the small town, making it convenient for exploring the area. a clean, comfortable, and spacious hotel that we would highly recommend.

The lack of facilities in the town in the evenings, as most pubs and restaurants were closed. However, we were grateful that the hotel's pub stayed open, allowing us to have a great meal.

The décor of the hotel was quite dated and could use some updating for a fresher look. there was no elevator in the hotel and we had to climb several flights of stairs with our luggage to reach our room which was tiring.

The food for breakfast was fantastic, but it would be even better if they added a shelf in the shower for toiletries and an anti-slip mat for those who may be less steady on their feet. Additionally, having power sockets with built-in USB charge sockets would be a convenient upgrade.

The George West Bay is perfectly located right in the centre, just in front of the pub and right by the harbour. The rooms are comfortable with beautiful antique furniture and the bathrooms are new and clean. The staff is friendly and the breakfast is outstanding, especially the fresh fruit. The hotel also offers free parking in what looks like the pub's carpark for patrons.

The children's menu is limited to unhealthy and basic options.
