The friendly welcome and clean, comfortable, and warm accommodations made me feel right at home. The hotel's great location provided a stunning sea view, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. I enjoyed a large and delicious cooked breakfast, and the reasonably priced drinks were a plus. The hotel's roof terrace was a fantastic feature as well.

I recently stayed at the Golden Lion and had a fantastic experience. The staff were amazing - so helpful and friendly. The location is great and the rooms are modern and comfortable. I visit for work every 6 weeks and will definitely be coming back. The restaurant and tapas and cocktail bar were both excellent. We ate at the hotel three times during our four-night stay. The portions were generous and the food was of great quality. the hotel exceeded my expectations and I highly recommend it.

I recently stayed in a lovely hotel in a busy seaside town. The location was great, with pubs just down towards the sea front and attractive views over the harbor. The room was comfortable and clean, with a spacious bathroom. The staff provided exceptional service and the breakfast was delicious. The hotel also had facilities like a bar and on-site restaurant. it was a fantastic experience.

The limited availability of Wi-Fi, as it was only accessible in the bar and lounge area.

The Golden Lion Hotel is in a great location, right on the harbor and close to the marina. The sea view from some rooms is lovely and the staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast is delicious and served quickly. The rooms are comfortable and the bathroom, although small, provides all the necessary amenities. the hotel has a roof terrace and reasonably priced drinks.

The nearby pub noise can be quite loud at times.

Stayed at the Golden Lion for a few nights while exploring the beautiful northern Lake District. The location was perfect, right off the Harbour and with a stunning view. The hotel staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making my stay even more enjoyable. The breakfast was fantastic, with a variety of options including delicious mushrooms, tomatoes, and black pudding. Everything was served beautifully and with top-notch service. a lovely, clean, and fabulous place to stay.

The refurbished bar and dining areas were spacious and inviting, creating a lovely atmosphere. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The highlight of our visit was the food - the hand-cut chips and fresh bread were absolutely delicious. we had a great time and would highly recommend this place for a lunch stop in Maryport. We will definitely be returning in the future.

The location was perfect as it was very central to everything we wanted to do during our city break. The hotel was also very clean, and the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. We also enjoyed the delicious breakfast that was offered each morning.

The noise from outside was quite disruptive during the night and made it difficult to sleep. the thin curtains did not do a good job of blocking out the light, which was a bit annoying.
