our recent stay in whitby was fantastic, but our extended stay at granby exceeded all expectations. the central location was perfect, with easy access to all attractions and shops. the apartment was beautifully decorated, with spacious bedrooms and a small kitchenette for convenient cooking. the view of boothams bakery across the street was a bonus.

Parking was a struggle and pricey.

We enjoyed the close proximity to the beach, marketplace, and centre of Whitby. The staff at The Granby were incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel right at home. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with a newly decorated feel. The pub downstairs was a lovely addition to our stay.

The food selection was good and the veggie burger was huge and delicious. the staff was friendly and even offered to add melted cheese to the burger, which was a nice touch. the pub had a dog-friendly policy, which was a big plus for us. Despite the pub needing a makeover, we would still consider going again.

The noise from the loud music until 2 in the morning was a major downside. the shower had a revolting smell and the separate toilets were tiny and smelly.

We loved the location of the hotel, as it was away from the hustle and bustle of the town centre but still close enough to enjoy all the amenities. It was especially convenient being near Pannett Park and the harbour area. The hotel itself was clean and had great facilities. We appreciated the comfortable and spacious beds, as well as the complimentary coffee tray. The staff in the pub were extremely friendly and made us feel welcome. The breakfasts were also delicious and a great way to start the day.

For us, the hotel was ideal.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The location was just what I needed - not too far from the harbour and quayside, and close to everything. The hotel facilities were great, and I enjoyed spending time in the lovely little pub downstairs. The staff were warm and friendly, and I met some lovely people while enjoying a drink and meal. The room was excellent value for money, clean and comfortable. I also appreciated the fact that there was entertainment on Friday and Saturday nights, but it didn't disrupt my stay at all.

A Hidden Gem

We were lucky to stumble upon this hidden gem during our recent getaway. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a warm and friendly atmosphere. The newly refurbished apartment exceeded our expectations, with its clean, bright, and spacious layout. It felt like a home away from home. The landlady was delightful and made our stay even more enjoyable. We also loved the convenience of having our own entrance through the side door of the pub. The pub itself was a great spot to unwind, with a selection of drinks and a welcoming staff. And let's not forget the fantastic café, Becketts, just a short walk away. our experience at Granby was excellent and we can't wait to return.

The property was very clean and run by friendly staff, especially Debbie who went out of her way to please. The food was good value for money. Great location, close to shops, restaurants, and within an easy walk to the town and seafront.

The apartment we stayed in was absolutely fantastic! We didn't need to bring anything with us as it was fully equipped. the complimentary bottle of milk was a nice touch. the pub below had great beer and the food was very good. We even got to enjoy live entertainment with a talented artist on Saturday night.

The shower in our room had a strong smell of drains and the room itself smelled like cigarette smoke. the decor was outdated and could use a fresh coat of paint.

Great central location on one of the prettiest streets. Small kitchenette for cooking meals. Big, well-decorated bedrooms. Overlooks the popular Boothams bakery. Pub below for group enjoyment and meals. 2 minutes walk to West Cliff with amazing sea views.
