We recently stayed at a hotel in the lovely village of Grasmere and had a delightful experience. the location was perfect, near the center of the village but still offering a peaceful atmosphere away from the hustle and bustle. the hotel had stunning views from its public rooms, and the spacious lounges provided a relaxed and homely feel. the food was exceptional, with flavorful and well-presented dishes that made us abandon our plans to eat out. the young and helpful staff, mainly from Europe, added to the pleasant experience.

The public areas of the hotel, such as the lounges, offer a spacious and serene atmosphere, perfect for relaxation. The staff provide excellent service, with attentive and friendly assistance. The breakfast options are plentiful and well-prepared, ensuring a satisfying start to the day.

The room sizes may be on the smaller side, which could be a drawback for some travelers.

The Grand provided us with a delightful stay. The room was both beautiful and comfortable, with a stunning bay window that offered breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. The large six foot bed with high-quality bed linen ensured a great night's sleep. We thoroughly enjoyed the delicious evening meals in the dining room, which also boasted wonderful views. The staff were friendly, attentive, and created a relaxed atmosphere. The hotel's location was excellent, as it was centrally located for exploring various places in the Lakes, making it convenient for walks starting right from the hotel's door. The boot room was a handy feature for drying wet boots after a day on the fells, eliminating the need to use a car.

The Grand At Grasmere exceeded our expectations with its excellent food, beautifully decorated hotel, and comfortable rooms. The presentation and flavors of the dishes were outstanding, and the staff went above and beyond to cater to our needs. The location was perfect for walkers, and the on-site parking was convenient. The boot room with amenities like bottled water and slippers was a great addition.

We stayed at The Grand for our anniversary and it was perfect. The location was ideal, close to the village but still peaceful. The views from the public rooms were beautiful, and the lounges were spacious and comfortable. The food was outstanding, and the hotel had a relaxed homely feel.
