The new owner was welcoming and attentive. Great potential with upcoming Indian menu. Comfortable, clean room at a good price. Convenient location for events at 'the Venue' mill.

Room lacked cleanliness, missing towels. Noise from loose bed frame.

The charming historic hotel, nestled in the beautiful Yorkshire countryside, offered a cozy room and excellent service. The large bedroom was comfortable, and the manager even drove us to the wedding venue. Unfortunately, the change of ownership led to food issues, including spicy options and noisy karaoke nights disturbing our sleep. The friendly hosts and comfortable bed were highlights amidst some disappointments.

The room was spacious and the bed comfortable. The en suite was great and the temperature just right. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Taxis to and from town were easy and affordable. Ideal for events at Piece Hall.

We stayed at The Griffin for a wedding at 'The Venue' mill nearby. The room was cosy and warm, with a mini fridge and tea-making facilities. The bed was comfortable with clean bedding. The staff was friendly and allowed us to check in early. The location was great, just a 30-minute walk up a steep hill with pavement all the way. We had a lovely relaxed stay at a reasonable price. No noise disturbance from the pub below. Definitely would stay again!

had an amazing time at this historic inn in yorkshire. nathan, the manager, went above and beyond to ensure our comfort during the wedding weekend. spacious room and delicious food made for a perfect stay. can't wait to visit again!

First hotel in refurbishment, found out day before. Comfortable, cosy room with mini fridge and tea making facilities. Friendly staff allowed early check-in for wedding timing. Lovely pub feel, attractive room, simple access out of hours. Nice, friendly atmosphere with no noise disturbance. Affordable price for a stay in a lovely location. Would definitely stay again.
