For us it was ideal.

I recently stayed at a guest house in Irvine and had a wonderful experience. The room was small, but beautifully decorated with quality fittings like a real wood floor and a very comfy bed. The en suite toilet was compact but had a good shower, and there was even a nice outdoor sitting area at the back. The location was great, close to the railway station and retail park, and the room was very clean. The bed was really comfortable, with soft pillows and the ability to control the heating. I was very happy with my stay and would definitely consider staying there again.

We found the location to be convenient, with plenty of safe street parking nearby. we had a good experience at the guest house and would recommend it to others.

The Harbour Guest House is conveniently located next to the train station, making it easy to explore the surrounding areas. the garden at the rear of the house provides a peaceful and relaxing space for guests to unwind. The property is also situated by the harbor, allowing for beautiful views and pleasant walks along the water.

One downside mentioned by guests is that the noise from other rooms can be heard, particularly on the ground floor.

I recently stayed at a charming guest house by the harbour. The location was lovely, with a view of the harbour and close proximity to the beach. The location of the hotel is excellent. It is close to several restaurants and a lovely pub with great food. Additionally, it is situated on the harbour and just a short walk away from a beautiful beach. There are also plenty of eateries around the hotel, providing a variety of dining options.

The guest house is ideally located, close to the early ferry to Arran and right across from the sea front. It is also conveniently near the harbour and in a very good location, close to everything one needs. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with soft pillows and the ability to control the heating. The ground floor rooms have 24-hour access, making it easy to come and go.

Some guests reported being able to hear noise from other guests, which could be distracting.
