The staff was friendly and made us feel welcome, from check-in to breakfast. Speaking of breakfast, the choices were plentiful, with a delicious cooked-to-order option and homemade jam. Despite being located on a busy road, the rooms were quiet and we didn't hear any noise. it was a lovely place to stay and dine.

During our recent stay at a lovely inn in Liss, we were amazed by the delicious and wholesome food served in the large and spacious restaurant. The traditional British dishes, like the mouthwatering steak and kidney pie with a crispy suet crust, took us back to fond childhood memories. The option to have a smaller portion pudding with a little pot of coffee for just £5 was a thoughtful touch. The pub had a warm and familiar old charm that made us feel right at home. The friendly and smiley couple who run the inn made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The beer garden was a great spot to relax and enjoy a drink. We were also pleased to find a shed where we could securely store our bikes overnight.

Although our room was clean and comfortable, it was a disabled room with a wet room, which we weren't particularly fond of due to the always wet floor. The beds were a bit basic.

Great food and friendly staff, plus the comfy beds were a highlight. the location was perfect- we were able to easily explore the surrounding area with ease. Having access to the garden was nice as well and made for a relaxing spot to sit and enjoy the sunset.

The room was not as clean as we had hoped and there were a number of items that were missing like extra towels and pillows. the decor was outdated, and the room had a strong musty smell that we just couldn't get rid of.
