A hidden gem and amazing value for money with lovely breakfast included. Super dog-friendly and the staff were super lovely and helpful. Perfect location, cute village and 5 minutes or so drive to the beach which had free parking. Ideal place to stay if you are planning to hike Scafell Pike. Free parking at the hotel and in the town center. Excellent menu at the restaurant and comfortable, quiet rooms.

The location is perfect for families with kids, as it is next to a children's play area in the mountains. The spacious room offers a large TV and a powerful shower, making it comfortable for a family stay. Additionally, the bar staff, Paul, provides excellent service.

The staff in the bar could be more mindful of their language and conversation topics, especially when there are children present.

I recently had a lovely short break at this hotel and I was pleasantly surprised. the location was perfect, just on the outskirts of the village in a lovely quiet location but still very close to the Gosforth town center. Secondly, the staff were friendly and welcoming, making me feel right at home. Lastly, the rooms were modern and spacious, with big comfy beds and all the basic amenities I needed. great value for money!

This hotel exceeded our expectations! The staff were incredibly friendly and gave us helpful tips for exploring the local area. We really appreciated being able to bring our dog and were pleased with the cleanliness of our spacious room equipped with a TV and ensuite. The breakfast selection was extensive and the food at the on-site restaurant was top-notch. We also enjoyed the bar's large drink selection and the prime location for touring the Western lakes.

Although the hotel had great amenities, it wasn't entirely accessible for guests with mobility issues. Our room required climbing a set of stairs and the bathroom lacked a walk-in shower, which proved difficult for one member of the party.
