We had a great experience staying at the Kelvin Hotel. The location was fantastic, just a short walk to the ferry port and shops. The room was clean and comfortable, with a nice bathroom and a good shower. The hotel offered good value for money, especially for a budget hotel. I would definitely recommend staying at the Kelvin Hotel.

The Kelvin Hotel was great value for money and our studio room was well-equipped, even with a microwave for convenience. The location was central and staff were friendly and helpful.

The location is superb and really handy for the ferry terminal which is a short 5-minute walk away. The recently refurbished room was spotlessly clean, very well equipped, and perfect for busy days when we just wanted to crash and grab a quick meal. The staff went above and beyond our expectations, providing a quiet and comfortable stay.

There was one minor issue with the shower water heater, which could be improved.

The hotel was conveniently located near the train and ferry services, within a short walking distance. This made it easy for us to explore the area without having to worry about transportation. the rooms were basic but clean, which was a plus. It's always nice to stay in a clean and tidy room.

The staff at the hotel left much to be desired. They were not very friendly or welcoming, which put a damper on our Christmas experience.

Noisy hallway kept us up all night.

I recently stayed at a hotel in a fantastic location near the ferry terminal, trains, and boats. The hotel itself had rooms with great views of the harbor, and my room even had a large bathroom. The basic amenities were well-maintained and the staff provided speedy breakfast service. For the cost, I would have expected breakfast to be included, but it was served promptly at 9.15am.

All was fine, nothing to complain about.

The breakfast options included gluten-free choices, which was perfect for us as vegetarians and vegans.

I had a room on the first floor, which was a shame as there isn't a lift, but being able to leave my luggage and chat with the owner made up for it. my stay at this hotel was fine in all regards.

Loved the warm welcome from the owner and the spotless room. the hotel is perfectly located just a short walk away from the center and has a car park nearby for a reasonable price. the friendly bar downstairs was great and it had a beautifully mannered dog! We also enjoyed the fantastic views and the excellent little kitchen facility in our room that gave us the freedom to self-cater.

The ferry noise was a bit of an issue, but it comes with the fantastic location. the mattress could have been a bit firmer, but this is always a personal preference.

I recently stayed at The Kelvin in Oban for a few nights and I had a wonderful experience. The location of the hotel was perfect, being right next to the ferry and train terminal. The views from the front of the hotel were stunning, and it was great to see the ferry coming and going. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, providing excellent service throughout my stay. The room I stayed in was clean, cozy, and had a sense of history. I particularly enjoyed the continental breakfast which was good value for money. I had a fantastic time at The Kelvin and would definitely recommend it to others.

Nothing it is perfect.

Convenient location with access to all parts of the city. Helpful manager provided useful local information. Fixed charging issues for USB devices. Met and learned from friendly travelers from around the world in the pub. Clean rooms with large TVs and thoughtful amenities.
