we found it difficult to turn off the electric towel rail in the bathroom. It took us some time to figure out that we needed to turn the isolator switch outside the bathroom.

The hotel has a superb location near a lovely stone bridge across a river. It also has a beautiful open garden where guests can relax. the food served in the restaurant is excellent, with many options and prompt service.

The view from the bedroom is not attractive, as it overlooks a factory.

We had a brilliant stay at Lion. The staff were very helpful and friendly, arranging a late check out for us and ensuring we had a room with a walk-in shower. Room 1 was perfect, offering a lovely view of the river. The food at Lion was excellent, with a great choice to suit all tastes. I particularly enjoyed my cod on lemon risotto with pesto and samphire, as well as the delicious homemade ice cream. The bed was super comfy, and breakfast was freshly cooked and locally sourced. a superb hotel with wonderful staff.
