The location was perfect, just a short distance from Hyde Hall gardens. The room was pleasant and the bed incredibly comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and the staff made us feel very welcome.

rettendon lodge was a delightful surprise during our recent group visit to battlesbridge. the location, with roaming rabbits, was gorgeous. the bar and restaurant area were really nice and had ample parking. our room was gorgeous, with a huge clean bathroom and a comfy bed. we enjoyed our brief stay and will definitely come again!

Despite a few minor hiccups, we had a comfortable stay at a lovely countryside lodge. The owner's friend was kind enough to refund us for the missed breakfast and the bed was cozy. The location was picturesque, with rabbits roaming around, and the bar and restaurant area were inviting. Although there were some issues with noise and long queues, the overall experience was pleasant. We would recommend this hotel for a short stay. I'll definitely consider staying here again.

One thing that could have made the breakfast offerings better was if the sausages were cooked all the way through. Other than that, everything else was good.

During our romantic escape, we enjoyed the stunning views and well-maintained grounds of the hotel. the restaurant was very busy on arrival, but quieter when we went for our meal and had a lot of choice on the menu. the food was much better than expected, and the bedding and towels were clean. We also appreciated the child-friendly seating outside.

They didn't smell fresh, and the extraction fan from the kitchen next door made a lot of noise. the location of our room was close to the kitchen, which was noisy until relatively late at night.
