Lovely atmosphere and warm welcome. Comfy, clean, and well-decorated room with a nice touch of chocolates. Friendly staff and a pub/bar downstairs. Ideal stop off on our journey and a good base for exploring the North Pennines. The Inn informed us about the EV charger limitations before our visit, which was helpful. They're actively working on installing a proper EV charger.

The views were absolutely spectacular, especially from the Quail room. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making me feel right at home. The room itself was excellent, with a spacious bathroom and all the little extras like a lit bathroom mirror. The food was imaginative and delicious, especially the soup. And let's not forget the superb breakfast and dinner options. I would highly recommend this hotel for its stunning location, comfortable rooms, and top-notch service.

The inn is conveniently located near St John's Church, where we attended a wedding.

The three windows could have used blackout blinds as the morning sun was blinding. The mattress and pillows didn't offer much support, resulting in a sore neck and back after our one-night stay. The staff, as always, were friendly and welcoming. Despite these minor drawbacks, we had a great stay at this small and friendly B&B. I would recommend this place.

The hotel also had a lovely garden area where we could relax and enjoy the stunning views. We were impressed with the wide selection of delicious food available, and the breakfast was particularly tasty. The bar/lounge area was cozy and had a great atmosphere, with a real ale selection and an open log fire. we had a fantastic experience at this place and would highly recommend it to others.
